A very tough front nine on this desert layout in Indio.
Formerly known as The Landmark courses, Terra Lago is basically the same club house and golf courses, it just now has homes and a hotel on property and a new owner.
It still has 36 holes of Championship golf in a nice desert setting, and both are very challenging for any level player. The front nine of the South course is especially challenging because there is a water channel that lines some of the fairways making the tees shots a bit scary.
Even though I don't always play as well as I would like there, I do like the fact that the holes are designed where you have to think on almost every shot, especially the tee shots. Many holes don't just offer a clear fairway in front of you, but rather a strip on the left or right of a large waste area or some other hazard. As much as I love to just get up and blast one down the fairway, I also like when that's taken out of my control and I need to put Driver away and maybe use 3-wood for a safer position.
The par-3's also give all levels a good challenge. Most have raised greens with severe drop-offs so accuracy is key.
My suggestion is to bring extra balls, and come to have a good time and don't be stressed if you pump one into the brush, because you probably won't find it.
The Summer rates are excellent whether you are a resident or not. Depending on the time of day they could be $30.00, includes cart. The In-Season rates are higher but fair for this club.
